Workshop: Teaching Struggling Readers & Spellers

Title: Teaching Struggling Readers & Spellers

Speaker/Affiliation: Denise Eide/Spell to Write & Read

Date and Time: Saturday, July 31st, 2010, 12:30 PM

Description: Do you have a child who struggles with reading or spelling? So many people who struggle are auditory or kinesthetic learners. We will discuss how to target these learners & help them to soar by using all four learning modes. In addition many children with logical/literal, engineering minds become frustrated by English, when they are taught inconsistent, funny phonics rules. Sadly, these learners often internalize “I am not good at English”. (Room 104)
