Thomas Clark is a life-long teacher of Mathematics and Science with more than 30 years of classroom and tutoring experience at all levels, from elementary through adult. He began his career with twelve years of classroom teaching, including a full year of graduate study, and then served for five years as the State Mathematics Supervisor for the Indiana Department of Education. As a result of all of his experience, he is convinced that everyone has the ability to understand mathematics. The company’s first major program, Algebra: A Complete Course, has, for twelve years, received enthusiastic response from reviewers and users, here in the United States, and in other countries as well. The company’s recently introduced program, Geometry: A Complete Course with Trigonometry is also receiving much acclaim.
Karen Hopkins is Karen Hopkins is the founder of Growing Healthy Homes and is a co-author of the two-time, award-winning, family nutrition and health curriculum Nutrition 101: Choose Life! Karen graduated from Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the college of Home Economics. Now, Karen is a Supervising Certified CARE instructor (The Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education) and she is a Certified Vibrational Raindrop Specialist. Karen travels the country teaching nutrition and aromatherapy classes with her husband.
Rhea Perry has home educated her seven children since 1987. Her family represented Lifetime Books and Gifts in the southeast for five years. When her oldest son Drew became a real estate investor at age 18, it only took three years to replace his dad’s income allowing him to come home from corporate America. When their dad lost his battle with cancer in 2010, the passive income they had created continued to provide for the family. Drew still sells houses and large equipment on eBay and Rhea teaches families all over the world how to start and grow online businesses and how to think like entrepreneurs. Her annual Home Business Conference for home school families is the only one of its kind in the world.
Homeschooling mother of five, Christine Torre, has a passion for encouraging parents to finish the home school race strong. With fifteen years of experience behind her, she joyfully testifies that the high school years have been the most fun! Christine is the founder and director of a 75 family home school co-op and former director of Forsyth Christian Home Educators. As a frequent conference speaker and consultant on such topics as record keeping, transcripts, college and test preparation, Christine enjoys helping others successfully through the high school years. Her new book, The Complete SAT Homework Guide, helps students reach their maximum test potential while utilizing the most effective, economical test prep resources available today. Christine’s annual Dual Enrollment Expo unites hundreds of parents and students with colleges seeking to recruit home school students. She and her husband, Tom, host weekly robotics clubs, SAT prep groups and upper level science clubs for high school students. Together they have home schooled two teens into college and are working on the third. Christine humorously shares their journey and what you can do to avoid the mistakes they made!
Dr. Cook limits his practice to vision therapy. He is residency trained and board certified. For over 30 years, he has been helping children read for fun and families to end the homework wars. A former State University of New York faculty member, he has served on both the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the International Examination Board of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
