One Day a Week Program – Grades 3-12

Atlanta Learning Concepts gets results with students. Tutoring, Social Skills, Communication, Small Group Classes, Computer Website Design, Programming, and Graphic Arts Design Classes provide much needed skill development for all types of students including special needs and gifted. The unique learner is sometimes under-served by traditional school systems and parents often find success with additional tutoring and small groups.

SPECIAL NEEDS students include ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, PDD, and other types of learning differences. Instruction is multi-sensory, structured and sequential. Often, these students are very bright and have tremendous, untapped learning potential despite their learning challenges. While tutoring is offered to all ages, Atlanta Learning Concepts also has a spectacular reputation as a unique center that especially remediates, guides, and excites teenage students to use technology and other learning helps to fully demonstrate their performance potentials.

A long list of students who previously had low reading and math abilities, etc. have found success, raised their grades, developed study skills, entered college, and guided towards degrees and well-paid jobs. Jeneen Hammond, Founder / Artistic Director has worked as a professional actress, writer, director in commercials, educational / training videos and industry films for over 20 years. Professor Carol’s entertaining and engaging style takes the substantive materials that you might find in a college level course and makes them accessible for high-school and middle-school students. Everything necessary to explore this subject is included in the course, and neither the student nor the parent needs to have any prior knowledge of music. All of the instruction is given on more than 13 hours of video that makes history interesting and memorable.

This unique course explores the arts and history of Western Civilization from 1600 to 1914, including topics such as the Royal Court of Louis XIV, scientific developments of the Baroque era, the life of J.S. Bach, opera, Beethoven and rise of the artist as hero, German romantic literature, music in the home, art of Tsarist Russia, Tin Pan Alley and Vaudeville, the liturgical calendar, the art that foresaw the coming cataclysm of World War I, and much more.

Marching Saints Homeschool Marching Band

Winning all Superior and Excellent ratings at our two Festivals in 2010, the Marching Saints are a homeschool group ‘marching with a mission.’ We do service projects as well as march at local parades and football games. Our two weeks of summer band camp, and other practices prepare us as well as providing a true camp experience. We have winds, drumline and color guard and auditions for Drum Major. We are a Christian group affiliated with Joyful Noise Homeschool Band.

Joyful Noise Homeschool Band is a homeschool band run on Christian principles, meeting weekly on Fridays at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia.

Joyful Noise Home School Band provides band and orchestra instruction on four levels. In addition to the band and orchestra programs, Joyful Noise also provides two levels of jazz band, chorus, recorder, guitar, music theory, woodwind ensemble and a preschool music program called “Joyful Noisemakers” and even Marching Band!

We want to honor God with the talents He has given us. To God be the glory!

Atlanta North Performing Arts provides a menu of opportunities for students that wish to study a stringed instrument. We are forming area youth orchestras in the Roswell/East Cobb area as well as in Johns Creek. We offer private and group lessons for home schooled children and we bring communities together through our youth orchestras.
