HoneyFern is a small private school on five acres in Marietta, Georgia. I specialize in gifted students whose needs are not being met in the public school system, or students who have been homeschooled for their elementary years but want to explore other options as they get older. Curriculum is individualized while still retaining the best features of cooperative learning. Interactive online math courses for students of all ages taught by expert instructors on topics ranging from algebra and calculus to advanced topics. We feature an advanced math course which is designed to introduce gifted students to topics beyond those covered in high school. If your child loves math they will LOVE our courses!

Soli Deo Gloria Homeschool Math Club

Our math clubs enjoy fellowship while working on competition math Sept- March. Middle schoolers focus on problem solving and need to be fluent in basic math skills; they will be most comfortable if they are in a 6th grade curriculum or higher. High schoolers work on JV and Varsity level math on in class and attend a few away meets. American Math Contests (AMC) 8,10, and 12, MathCounts, and other national exams comprise our schedule. We present other opportunities for talented learners as well.

Excellence in standard math is not required but is very useful; interest and enthusiam about math is required. $50-60 per student will allow us to have a full schedule with a volunteer facilitator. Our clubs meet twice a month in McDonough, GA, and we have families who travel up to 2 hours to join us.

Applied Grammar

Applied Grammar uses research based methods for memory retention and retrieval. It uses a hands on, visual method for teaching grammar and then helps students to learn to apply the grammar in their writing. Extra activities add interest and motivation. E-tutoring is available either through e-mail alone or with SKYPE.
