While parents attend Homeschooling For Excellence 101, their children can attend a variety of workshops given by speakers who will challenge them to become active and excited learners. Our goal is to remind children that learning is rewarding and interesting and that learning can happen anywhere, at anytime.

Jim Weiss has been a storyteller for over 25 years. In June, 1989, Jim decided to do something more with the craft that he had formerly practiced solely for pleasure. He and his wife, Randy, formed a production company, Greathall Productions, and have thus far produced forty three (43) storytelling recordings with enticing titles from classical literature, such as Greek Myths, King Arthur and Sherlock Holmes. Jim’s Greathall line is the recipient of more than 80 major national awards from The American Library Association, Parents’ Choice Foundation, NAPPA, the Parents’ Council, The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, The Film Advisory Board, Parents’ Guide to Children’s Media Award and more. Weiss’ newest releases are “Julius Caesar and the Story of Rome” and “Carry On, Mr. Bowditch.”

Dr. Craig Anderson is a former Mercer University Engineering faculty member who has conducted Science Presentations throughout the Southeast.  In his lifetime, nearly a million students, teachers, and parents have seen his exciting approach to making science and technology fun, exciting, relevant… and easy to understand.  He is also a 27-year Georgia veteran as a Georgia state-level judge for the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair.

Dr. Anderson is a great favorite at the Southeast Homeschool Expo and KidsZone.  Your children will be amazed and challenged by his experiments.
