It’s a great accomplishment to get the struggling reader and speller up and going, but there’s more! Getting a student to read and spell is only the beginning of language skill. Dyslexic, SLD and other Language challenged students must go beyond beginner skills and develop reading fluency, speed, comprehension, vocabulary and writing skills.

Although parents will be successful using Wilson Language with their children, the complexity of the materials and additional information needed, demand that parents receive actual training in order to be able to effectively tutor their child. With the strong instruction from this one day seminar, parents will be fully equipped to move their child towards reading and spelling success.

  • Improve reading speed and fluency.
  • Get additional notes and information that allow for faster and greater student success!
  • Discover materials that make writing easy, even if you can hardly spell!
  • Discuss the pros and cons of specific programs, materials, and technology.

Cost

  • Individual Registration – $45.00 online ($60 at the door)
  • Husband/Wife Registration – $60.00 online ($75 at the door)

Developing Reading Fluency and Speed Discover RAN (rapid automatic naming) techniques that use newly acquired skills. Once a student has achieved a measure of reading abilities, parents are often dismayed that they do not easily progress towards greater speed. This slow reading behavior has a definite negative impact on scholastic abilities. But, the good news is – reading speed can improve!

I have to say that compared to the general population, homeschoolers have the most well-behaved children! I know my 4 year old is well disciplined but next to these kids, she would have been the unruly one! I'll surely be bringing her next year!

Our family wanted to thank you for a great Homeschool Expo! This was our first expo after 3 years of homeschooling. We were very happy we decided to do it. We now feel very connected with the homeschool world as well as very educated on what is out there for us. Thank you again and we look forward to next year!
