Jessica Fagerstrom grew up in Kenya as a daughter of missionaries. After witnessing the nation’s political violence in 2007, she determined that she would dedicate her life to using education as means of giving a voice to the voiceless. Since that time, Jessica has taught in both public and private educational institutions in more than ten countries. After teaching for nearly a decade, she decided to leave the traditional classroom and educate her own children at home. Since taking the leap, she has witnessed the power of alternative education methods. She currently serves as the founder and leader of Wild + Free Gwinnett County, a large homeschool group comprised of more than 1,000 families based out of Lawrenceville, GA.. She lives with her husband, her two kiddos, her pet ball python Atlas, and flock of chickens – learning and laughing with them more and more every day!
