Margie Abbitt has been married for 42 years, and homeschooled their “Brady Bunch” of 3 boys and 3 girls which took about 30 years. Margie homeschooled in different states using a variety of curriculum/ teaching methods to meet the needs of diversified students. She especially enjoys a unit study/ hands-on approach to teaching to make learning fun and active. Margie has organized, led, and taught in co-ops/tutorials for about 25 years. Margie has worked as an academic counselor for homeschoolers for over 10 years helping families and students from many varied backgrounds, learning styles and challenges. As a founder of The Homeschool Counseling Team, the author of Myths of Education: Truths That Will Set You Free, and a speaker, Margie continues to share her passion for helping parents/grandparents navigate their homeschool experience while encouraging them in their homeschooling journey.
