Marlene is a director/choreographer, playwright/actor, songwriter/singer with over 50 productions under her belt across the globe. She has worked at the intersection of Christianity and Theatre her entire career, and believes the Lord is the Author of all artistic expression. She is devoted to equipping the next generation of performing artists to serve the Church or enter the Stage/TV/Film industry with confidence in the Lord and excellence in their craft. Marlene has built on her Theatre degree with studies at the Dramatists Guild Institute, Actors Connection, Upright Citizens Brigade (NYC), and Georgia Ballet (ATL), among others. She is with AWA Agency (ATL) for Commercials, and former Board Chair of Christians in Theatre Arts (www.cita.org.) Marlene and husband Curtis have two grown children, both in the Stage/TV/Film industry. The family is active at His Hands Church in the Atlanta area.
