Great Oak Academy offers exciting, hands-on science classes for 1st – 12th graders in a fully equipped science lab (108 Wiley Bridge Court, Woodstock, GA 30188). We also offer high school math classes, as well as art classes for middle and high school students. Field trips are available for entire families to enjoy together. Field trip participation is optional. Monthly science classes for elementary students, and weekly science classes for older students, are taught from a Christian perspective. All classes include follow-up reading and activities for students at home to expand on what we do together in class. Our science teachers have science degrees and many years of laboratory and homeschool experience. Class size is kept small (average 6 to 8 students/class). Parents and grandparents may attend at any time if they would like to. Science equipment is provided for students’ experiments and activities (including microscopes, chemicals, preserved specimens, etc.). We also have live animals and plants that students may care for.
